    Maharat News is hosted by the Maharat Foundation, which is concerned with promoting freedom of expression and developing media in Lebanon and the Arab world. Maharat News seeks to provide citizens with evidence-based information on issues of public interest with the aim of enhancing accountability and transparency in the public sector. Maharat News also seeks to monitor the conditions of freedom of opinion and expression in the Arab region.
