Journalism & Engineering is a platform for journalists with product and data fluency

Journalism & Engineering is a proof-of-concept, a challenge, and a pastime, sometimes tongue-in-cheek or nerdy, but always pointing to a serious issue: the way we do news has changed, while many newsrooms have not. It promotes a new breed of journalist with product and data fluency. Every piece of content here carries a coding component, showing what happens when reporting chutzpah meets technical execution.
It's also a space for bridge-people (journalists who might have been engineers) to demonstrate how editorial strategy can be translated into prototypes, datasets, and working systems. While Journalism & Engineering began as the personal project of Pier Paolo Bozzano, the goal is collective: to explore a new newsroom role that blends craft, code, and accountability.
So, colleagues, if you type your camping packing list in Visual Studio Code, believe most problems in life could be solved with a solid API, think about user needs in the shower, and secretly wish you could manage your kids' bedtime routine with npm, then get in touch.
